I love Samurai Blue! I studied and lived in Tampa and every time I am back in town I come here for the food! The sushi is so fresh! And the service is amazing! I highly recommend it!

We’ve been regulars at Samurai Blue for years and have never been disappointed. The sushi is consistently fresh, and the service is always good. While we’ve only ordered sushi (so can’t speak to other dishes), our favorites include the salmon nigiri (which comes topped with thin lemon slices) and the Kyoto roll. Their rolls stand out–unique without being intimidating, they put a creative spin on classics. If you prefer simpler flavors, the crunchy tuna and crunchy spicy salmon rolls are both excellent. For something with more heat, try the tuna Summer of Love or the spicy tuna nigiri–both are flavorful, spicy treats. The restaurant sits on the second floor near the Ybor Center. Parking is limited, so we usually use the garage a few blocks away and walk. Whenever we go we ask for the waitress, Kylie. She’s just such a gem and is always so attentive, remembers our orders, and even remembers the little modifications we make to the rolls we get! Overall, Samurai Blue is a wonderful spot we return to whenever we can!

My wife and I have been going here for a year as a frequent date spot. The ambiance and atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. The most idyllic date you could dream of. The staff is always so kind and talks with us about whatever feels fun that day. The food is also just incredible- I’ve had food all around the world and this is just so thoughtful and well put together it makes me so happy every time. I only really review places when i feel like they really deserve it, and the food is just so creative and the menu is so incredible i really cannot recommend this place enough. Also, if you want a recommendation- the kyoto roll is my wife’s favorite.

We had an enjoyable night out at Samurai Blue. We started with the Blue Crab Rangoon, and it was very tasty. I ordered the sushi dinner, and it came with a nice variety of Nigiri. My wife ordered a few rolls and enjoyed them as well. The presentation was creative. The Caterpillar Roll comes with two eyes. The service was excellent and the vibe was relaxing.
